Why Choose MIA?
Your trusted Miramichi partner for AI that actually works — and actually saves you money
AI on Your Equipment
We default to your own computers and servers because it saves money and keeps you in control. When cloud makes sense — for handling large volumes or meeting regulations — we've got 5+ years of experience with Azure. On your hardware, in the cloud, or both — we find what fits your budget.
30 Years of Fundamentals
We've been building with computers since the 90s. We understand the whole picture — not just the latest shiny part. That depth means solid engineering, not hype.
Real Automation, Real Work
Not chatbots. We build tools and systems that make decisions, guide daily processes, and handle the repetitive grind — real tools that do real work for your business.
People in Control
AI that accelerates your team dramatically, not replaces them. Your people stay in control with safety checks and oversight built in. AI assists, humans decide.
Automation ROI Workbench
Bring your team size, workload, and limits. We translate it into time saved, fewer errors, and a clear cost estimate.
Your assumptions
Figures are illustrative until validated against your systems. We never publish client data.

How we work
Three commitments that show up in every engagement
We start with your equipment
Your software runs on your own computers unless the cloud saves you real money. Predictable monthly costs and predictable speed.
People stay in charge
Every automation has a person empowered to approve, override, and improve it. AI accelerates your team — it doesn't replace them.
You own the system
We hand over the reins when we're done. Documentation, how-to guides, and training come with the system so your team can manage and grow it.

Start a ConversationWhy we do this
We are a small team in Miramichi, and we like this work. That sounds like a small thing to put on a business page. It is not.
We enjoy the unglamorous part
Automation projects fail when the people building them stop caring halfway through — when the interesting part is done and the fiddly part, the part that decides whether your staff actually use the thing, gets rushed. That fiddly part is our favourite bit. Watching a job that took somebody three hours every week stop taking any time at all, and watching them spend those hours on the work they are actually good at, is why we still do this.
You know your profession. We know ours.
The best results we have had came from putting the two together — not from us arriving with a solution and explaining your own business back to you. You know where the friction is and why the obvious fix will not work. We bring three decades of building things that hold up when nobody is watching them. Neither half gets there alone.
If it does not work for you, it has not worked
We are not selling a licence and leaving. We would rather tell you a project is not worth doing than take the work and watch it sit unused — and we have said exactly that to people who were ready to pay us. When your business does better, we get to keep doing this. That is the whole arrangement, and it is why we would rather be right than booked.
We live here
The businesses we help are our neighbours. We see the results in the shops, the yards and the offices around us, and we would like to see them win — not as a marketing line, but because this is where we live and it is better when the businesses here are thriving.
Everything else on this site is a number you can check. This part is not, and we are not going to pretend otherwise — so ask us. A conversation costs nothing and you will know within twenty minutes whether we are the right people for what you need. If we are not, we will tell you who is.
What we have actually built
The workbench above is a model. This is the work behind it, counted across code this team has written — capability we can show, not a list of engagements.
- 55Databases and recordsOne place the records actually live, so two departments stop keeping different versions of the same list.
- 50Web portals and internal sitesAn internal site your staff or your customers use, rather than another shared drive.
- 44Reporting and dashboardsThe report somebody rebuilds every Monday, produced while they are still asleep.
- 18Reading documents and formsInvoices, forms, statements and reports read into fields you can search, instead of retyped.
Every number on this page that is modelled says so. These four are counted.
